Let talk a walk to the other side of the market

The Deli

 

 


We don't really have much news about the farm so I decided to take a week to talk about turkey, and our deli.





I haven't really been counting but we have had our deli for about 8 or 9 years now and it is growing everyday. We started off with just a few cold cuts, then we got salads and Boar's Head Deli Meats. Now we have over a dozen different Prepared foods and Deli salads, A full line of Boar's Heads Meats & Cheese as well as our own Pasture-Raised Farm-Roasted Turkey Breast and Honey Ham. 

The purpose of this blog post is to talk about what makes our turkey a little special and to give us a look into one of our favorite sandwiches.

Our Store Roasted Turkey comes from Family Farms in Pennsylvania. All of our Turkeys are humanely raised on Family Farms, Fed a vegetarian diet and are never ever give antibiotics or added growth hormones! We never used MSG, Preservatives, Nitrites or Nitrates. 

With a Turkey this Good, you can't really mess up any sandwich.
BUT, when creating our Deli Sandwich, we wanted to highlight it's flavor, so we came up with one fantastic Farm Favorite Sandwich! 

 

 

 

 


The Confreda - Turkey Sandwich

 


The Ingredients

 

  • 1/4 of Confreda's Farm-Roasted Turkey Breast

  • 1/4 medium red onion, Sliced Very Thin

  • 2 Tablespoons of Pesto (We used Mantova Peso)

  • 2 Sliced of Boar's Head Vermont Cheddar Cheese

  • 1/4 of a tomato, Chopped (We will have ours Soon!

  • A few pieces of Crisp Iceberg or Romaine Lettuce

  • 1/3 a load of Crusty French Bread

     

     

     

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Cut the Roll in half the long way, Smother the Pesto all over that Crusty Bread

  2. Lay the sliced of Turkey down and then the Cheddar Cheese

  3. Add toppings, feel free to add whatever you like.
